From a nerve-racking dance debut to a liberating conversation between mind and body; author Arnon Grunberg and poet Charlotte Van den Broeck have been pen pals for years. In microcosm, the writers face their greatest shame, debuting as dancers.

Guided by choreographer Nicole Beutler, they embark on a journey discovering the body: a microcosm, a perfect symbiosis of millions of cells, microbes and bacteria, forever in motion. Together with dancers Liah Frank and Rob Polmann, Charlotte en Arnon transcend themselves in this eventful universe. There is no shame in universe.

PLEASE NOTE: on thu apr 14th the english spoken version of MICROCOSM will be played.

Microcosm – a danced conversation opens with the four dancers in blue costumes on a blue carpet, surrounded by wooden walls. Starting from their toes, they explore the entire space, with a movement quality as fluid as water. The falling drops in Gary Shepherd's ear-pleasing electronic soundtrack make us feel like we are in an underwater world. The dancers swarm around each other, half improvising. In addition, they always just don't touch each other, as in a game of Doctor Bibber." De Standaard
