Over

When she graduated from architecture school, Elizabeth Diller didn’t intend to actually become an architect. She was more interested in film and visual art.

Among other things, she went on to make various temporary art installations with her partner Ricardo Scofidio in the ’80s and ’90s. But she did end up becoming an architect after all, and in 2018 Time Magazine named her one of the 100 ‘most influential people’ in the world.

Her firm, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, is responsible for New York’s High Line, a public park built on an abandoned elevated railroad in Manhattan. She also designed the spectacular decor for Deep Blue Sea.

Journalist and moderator about urban issues and director of the John Adamse Institute Tracy Metz will be joining Elizabeth Diller for a conversation about the relationship between architecture and theatre.
